Export Sales Manager

UK Based - £35,000

To manage the effective development and execution of a robust sales and marketing strategy aimed at generating new business and increasing the company profile in the GB market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement a robust sales and marketing strategy to exploit the company’s unique range of products and manage and monitor the company’s GB sales and marketing budget.
  • In conjunction with the Business Development Director, agree realistic but challenging sales forecasts and convert these into profitable sales. Monitor and report on sales progress and achievements, taking timely action to address variances.
  • Identify, profile, analyse and implement new business opportunities in the GB market and ascertain the most appropriate means of exploitation in each case.
  • Build and maintain strategic business partnerships in the GB market to ensure the development of long term contract business and the expansion of sales opportunities for the company’s products, ensuring that the company is perceived by customers as a preferred supplier.
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times, attend relevant exhibitions, trade shows and industry forums, building brand awareness, and an effective network.
  • Conduct all necessary research and analysis, including acquiring and collating appropriate target market data and competitor profiles, in order to identify potential markets and customer leads.
  • Introduce prospective customers to company products by internal and external presentations, site visits, and meetings.
  • Provide technical guidance to customers.
  • Work in conjunction with the Business Development Director and the costing / technical team to cost each project, and negotiate final pricing and technical specifications with customers.
  • Contribute to new product development, customer care and the company’s approach to quality through the presentation of customer feedback and market research.
  • Update and maintain the company’s Customer Relationship Management database of existing and potential customers.
  • Design and deliver corporate presentations as required.
  • Produce sales analysis reports and other information as required by the management team in order to assist with sales, financial and operational planning and to inform future business direction.
  • Liaise effectively with relevant company staff and 3rd party providers to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Ensure that customer care is highly reflected throughout all aspects of work undertaken within the business, and that each customer is handled in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Ensure the agreed Customer Payment terms are adhered to
  • Any other duties, within reason and capability, as agreed with the Business Development Director
