Gama Aviation -Health and Safety and Facilities Coordinator

Bournemouth - Dependent on Experience
  • Assisting managers with risk assessments and developing safe systems of work with managers to ensure appropriate risk mitigation is implemented
  • Conduct new starter inductions, and associated paperwork (storage and uploading to Q-Pulse)
  • Conduct contractor inductions, and associated paperwork (storage and uploading to Q-Pulse)
  • Identifying hazards within the workplace and assisting the HSE team to ensure that the Company is compliant with relevant HSE legislation
  • Contribute to maintaining environmental management information including the aspects and impacts register and waste management records
  • Carrying out inspections and audits of the company’s UK premises and activities
  • Support the Gama health and safety representatives 
  • Working with managers on the practical application of Gama Group HSE policy
  • Promote safety culture, wellbeing and influence positive change
  • Assisting the HSE manager with the organisation and delivery of training
  • Monitor and investigate accident and incidents
  • Producing management reports, bulletins and other communications
  • Assisting the HSE manager with ordering and allocating the type and use of personal protective equipment, work equipment, etc
  • Use IT management tools to collate and promulgate policies, procedures, communication and maintain record keeping duties
  • Represent the HSE team at meetings commensurate with role
  • Contribute to the business plans, policies procedures and other management objectives
  • Coordinate and maintain the emergency response for plans – including fire, first aid and environmental control.
  • Work with external organisations and contractors for the provision of services, delivery of training, and safe working practices
  • Reporting to the management review team on HSE management including any opportunities for improvement
  • Routine service contractor management (including maintenance of database)
  • Emergency repairs
  • RFQ (request for quotes) – due diligence
  • Plant management – general maintenance and repairs, equipment maintenance, routine checks
  • Budget
  • Record facilities requests – large (e.g. new heating) / small (e.g. put up a hook)
  • Procedure writing of facilities-associated tasks
  • Liaise with management team
  • Ensure serviceability of all facilities vital systems
  • Ordering 
  • Plan work tasks – costs / schedules
  • Maintain compliance (e.g. electrical inspections) 
  • Manage keyholders
  • Manage building plans
  • Carry out physical tasks – moving furniture, etc.

 

 

 

 

Hours:            Full-Time, Permanent. 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday.

Base:              Bournemouth Airport
