M&E Technician - mechanical bias

The role:
 To provide the safe operation, planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical plant and equipment
 To carry out the installation of new mechanical equipment as required i.e. minor new works, refurbishment and capital works replacement programme
 Investigate, trouble shoot and rectify defects for all mechanical systems and associated plant/components or if unable to do so, arrange specialist BYES FM’s external staff or Subcontractors
 Participate in the management / organisation of Subcontractors
 Ensure prompt and accurate completion of all associated paperwork
 To participate in the Appointed Persons role for an identified discipline
 The hours for this role are 4 days on, 4 days off as well as participating in the on call rota and out of normal working hour’s activity.

The person:
 Experience of building maintenance essential together with a full trade mechanical apprenticeship
 Current qualifications such as C&G, BTEC National Diploma, NVQ or similar, in a mechanical discipline
 Good communication skills, customer focused
 In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
 A proactive, flexible, can-do approach
 Able to obtain DBS clearance (due to working alongside children)
 Driving License essential
