To provide the safe operation, planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical plant and equipment
To carry out the installation of new mechanical equipment as required i.e. minor new works, refurbishment and capital works replacement programme
Investigate, trouble shoot and rectify defects for all mechanical systems and associated plant/components or if unable to do so, arrange specialist BYES FM’s external staff or Subcontractors
Participate in the management / organisation of Subcontractors
Ensure prompt and accurate completion of all associated paperwork
To participate in the Appointed Persons role for an identified discipline
The hours for this role are 4 days on, 4 days off as well as participating in the on call rota and out of normal working hour’s activity.
Experience of building maintenance essential together with a full trade mechanical apprenticeship
Current qualifications such as C&G, BTEC National Diploma, NVQ or similar, in a mechanical discipline
Good communication skills, customer focused
In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
A proactive, flexible, can-do approach
Able to obtain DBS clearance (due to working alongside children)
Driving License essential
