The Operations Officer’s role is to support Licensed Organisations across the London Region and to support projects and initiatives with the goal of extending access to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Programme.
The post holder will report to the Regional Operations Manager and will be responsible for recruiting new Licensed Organisations and supporting contracted work on behalf of London Local Authorities and directly supporting the DofE programmes in schools, youth services and wider provision for young people.
The post holder will provide advice on the regulations and guiding principles of the DofE; on the appropriate structuring of Licensed Organisations support for local DofE groups; support the management of groups; ensure the maintenance of proper records including eDofE and sign-off of relevant sections and awards. In managing their portfolio of Licensed Organisations, the post holder will be expected to undertake regular fieldwork in a similar manner to that of a Local Authority DofE Manager. This will also involve evening and weekend working arrangements.
The post holder will support the delivery of pan-London projects on behalf of the London Regional Office and take responsibility for developing fundraising networks and opportunities in the Region for the extension of existing work and the establishment of new programmes.
